Michael Wood
Michael is a Senior Architectural Technologist with a wealth of experience in the architectural
field spanning over 30 years.
Michael has primarily worked in the private sector on residential, commercial, ecclesiastical
and education projects for private, local authority and commercial clients.
Whilst working for a large unitary authority, Michael managed several refurbishment projects on high profile historic and listed properties and public museums. In addition, Michael was responsible for a team of graduates whom he helped by mentoring and developing them
towards achieving membership of the RICS.
Michael has a particular interest in historic building conservation and has a detailed knowledge and understanding of repair techniques and building preservation and he has a sympathetic approach to the extension and alteration of such buildings.
In his spare time Michael is an avid road cyclist and often spends his free time travelling in foreign climes on two wheels. He recently completed a cycling holiday in Vietnam where he
cycled from Saigon to Hanoi, sampling the local culture and architecture, as well as several
trips to the French Alps and Italian Dolomites in recent years.
