In these circumstances we can obtain competitive quotes from a team of professional consultants to provide complementary services and then organise, co-ordinate and develop a scheme from planning, through the tender process to administration of the project on site.
Hostel for the homeless
We have been involved in the entire phased process of the purchase, repairs, extension and redevelopment of this project for our client. This comprised a significant scheme consisting of repairs, extensions and refurbishment which have turned the building from a 10 bedroom property into a 14 bedroom hostel, with each bedroom having their own en-suite facilities. The property now includes significant associated office, communal and services spaces including drop-in facilities for welfare and medical specialists, meeting rooms and IT facilities.
South Coast town centre premises
Initially we were appointed by the landlord to prepare a schedule of dilapidation to serve upon the tenant. Following the tenants lease forfeiture, we were then appointed to design, obtain planning permission and to specify a scheme to convert the 3 storey building, which is located in a conservation area, into a retail unit on the ground floor with two self-contained flats above. Our scheme required the relocation of the staircases and structurally this presented a particular challenge due to the existence of a thick reinforced concrete slab on the second floor originally installed, we understand as a platform for an anti-aircraft gun emplacement during the seconds world war.
